The South Auckland Woodturners Guild host a biannual participation weekend in the Hunua ranges at the YMCA camp Adaire. This year 49 participants from all over the world, including The UK, South Africa the USA and Australia gathered for four days of learning, sharing and turning.
My highly figured Rimu bowl was awarded second place in the instant gallery section. As a new turner amongst some of the greatest names in New Zealand and the world this was a very special award.
